We are Get Wet Surfwear—a small, female-owned business based on the beautiful island of Bali. Get Wet Surfwear was born out of a love for surfing and the frustration of not finding swimwear that could keep up. On her first-ever surf trip, Get Wet Surfwear founder Mareike discovered two things: her passion for riding waves and the fact that her regular bikinis just weren’t built for the surf. They wouldn’t stay put, and the fabric quickly wore out from daily saltwater sessions. As a trained seamstress with a background in fashion, Mareike knew she could do better. After moving to Bali, she began designing surf suits for herself—pieces that combined style, functionality, and durability. Before long, other women in the lineup started asking where they could get their hands on these suits, and in 2019Get Wet Surfwearwas officially born.
